Our story
Hire Class Events (HCE) is almost 7 years old and today
we can offer our clients a complete event solution.
We have grown steadily and expanded our nationwide client
base thanks to ‘word of mouth’ recommendations.
Since he was a teenager, our founder and Managing Director,
Simon Speechley, has been in involved in various aspects of
the entertainment and hospitality industry.
Simon’s knowledge, plus his drive and enthusiasm is now
reflected in HCE’s 50-strong team, who can be called upon
to provide excellence at any event.

Our big break
After running several successful events in Calderdale, HCE's
first corporate event was in 2002 for Interface in Sheffield.
It was a very successful event for 250 guests, including
the Duke of Edinburgh, and it was held in a marquee on
Interface's premises.
Following recommendations, Summer Balls for Huddersfield
Lawn Tennis Club and a private party for Mr Bill Gleeson in
Manchester soon followed.
In 2006, Hire Class Events was asked to run the backstage
hospitality for the Robbie Williams concert at
Milton Keynes,
after providing an excellent back-up service at the Leeds
Roundhay Park concert in the week before.
Working in partnership with market leaders Equinox, HCE has provided bespoke catering and bars for The Motor Show and
The Commercial Motor Show in
Earls Court, London and the
NEC, Birmingham.
Our client list also includes Jacuzzi, Astro Cast, Harewood
House, JMC Jowell, Masternaut, The Royal Armouries and the University of Leeds.

HCE today
Today, we can draw upon the expertise of a fantastic team
and an established network of contacts and suppliers. We have
a dozen excellent chefs, carpenters (for bespoke bar facilities),
up to 50 event staff and we work with breweries, Coates Marquees, security professionals and many more specialists to ensure your event is a success.
Despite experiencing so much growth, the character of HCE has remained unchanged. We are friendly, easy to work to with and our team have fun as well as working hard. We know exactly
when and how to apply real discipline and professionalism when co-ordinating and running an event.
